The President of the Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI), Ambassador Emmanuel Obi Okafor, mni, on behalf of the National Executive Committee and the entire AANI family, warmly congratulates Chairman of AANI, Katsina Chapter, Alhaji Muhammad Lawal Aliyu Daura, mni (SEC 29, 2007), on his inauguration as Chairman of the Governing Council of Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic on Thursday, 14th May, 2026.
This well-deserved appointment is a clear reflection of his sterling character, proven integrity, and decades of dedicated public service. Inaugurated by the Commissioner for Higher Education and Vocational Training, Alhaji Sani JB Daura, he assumes the role following the expiration of the tenure of Hajiya Indo Muhammad, with a clear mandate to advance the interests of the institution with honesty, accountability, and commitment.
A geospatial specialist and Higher Cartographic Officer with the National Population Commission, his expertise in GIS mapping, enumeration area demarcation, and spatial technology has made him a vital contributor to Nigeria's national demographic initiatives. His appointment to this new role brings that same wealth of experience and dedication to the governance of one of Katsina State's foremost tertiary institutions.
