The Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI) extends warm birthday felicitations to Brigadier-General S.K. Usman (rtd), mni (SEC 40, 2018), a highly respected member of the Association and a towering figure in strategic communication and national service.
In a message signed by Ambassador Emmanuel Obi Okafor, mni, President of AANI, the Association celebrates Brigadier-General Usman’s distinguished military career and his immense contributions to AANI and the nation at large.
Renowned for his professionalism and clarity of thought, he made lasting impact as Director of Army Public Relations and later as National Publicity Secretary of AANI, where his leadership strengthened the Association’s voice and public engagement.
He is also a traditional title holder, Sarkin Yakin Kanwan Katsina, and serves as Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Confederation of African Journalists (CAJ). Beyond titles, he is widely respected as a mentor who has shaped countless professionals and leaders across sectors.
As he celebrates his birthday, AANI joins family, friends, colleagues, and mentees in wishing him good health, longevity, and continued meaningful contributions to national development and humanity.
