ADC Demands Emergency Rule in Katsina, Zamfara

In a statement, the party’s spokesman, Bolaji Abdullahi, said the massacres in Malumfashi, Katsina, where worshippers were gunned down in a mosque and villagers burnt in their homes, as well as the killings in Zamfara, expose a collapse of the nation’s security system.

The party accused President Tinubu of chasing foreign trips while citizens are under siege, and also faulted PDP governors for holding a rally in Zamfara shortly after the bloodshed.

ADC called for a total overhaul of the security framework, warning that the advice for citizens to defend themselves shows the state can no longer guarantee protection.

Meanwhile, the party dismissed as fake a resignation letter attributed to factional leader Nafiu Bala, describing it as a ploy by political rivals to cause confusion.
