Customs College Graduates 50 Officers, CGC Charges Them on Discipline and Innovation

He gave the charge during the graduation of 50 officers from Junior Course 22 at the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College, Gwagwalada. Represented by Deputy Comptroller-General Greg Itotoh, Adeniyi said the future of Customs depends on the commitment of young officers to excellence.

While congratulating the graduates, he encouraged them to apply the lessons of training to their daily duties. “You may forget the restrictions and the pain of training, but never forget the lessons learnt. As you return to your units, meet challenges with courage and determination,” he advised.

The Commandant of the College, Assistant Comptroller-General Oluyomi Adebakin, described the day as special, noting that the graduating class had undergone intensive training in leadership, discipline and professional development. She added that the course also tested teamwork, punctuality and physical fitness, aimed at grooming officers for the demands of a dynamic security environment.

Certificates were presented to all 50 graduates, with outstanding performers recognized in areas such as leadership, discipline, marksmanship and academic excellence. Adebakin urged them to return to their Commands as worthy ambassadors of the institution.
