The initiative, sponsored by Grooming Centre and implemented by EG Studios, is open to artists, poets, dancers, painters, comedians, and other emerging talents. Winners will go home with cash prizes of N1.5 million for first place, N900,000 for second, and N600,000 for third.
Chief Executive Officer of EG Studios, Elma Godwin, who will lead the auditions, said the platform remains dedicated to giving aspiring creatives the chance to showcase their skills and pursue their dreams. “This stage is for those who might never have been seen or heard. We are creating opportunities for young talents to flourish and tell their stories,” she noted.
Since its inception, the Grooming Talent Hunt has drawn over 3,000 participants, produced more than 70 finalists, and celebrated 18 winners who have gone on to gain recognition in their fields.
Joyce Ofua, Corporate Communications Lead at Grooming Centre, praised the impact of the project. “We are proud of what EG Studios, led by Elma Godwin, has accomplished. Through the Grooming Talent Hunt, countless young creatives have been given the platform to shine. This year, we look forward to even greater impact as the project continues to transform lives at the grassroots,” she said.
According to organizers, Grooming Centre’s consistent sponsorship over the past six years has been vital in sustaining the programme and ensuring voices from underserved communities are heard.
With its seventh edition now underway, the Grooming Talent Hunt continues to reaffirm its mission of discovery, empowerment, and lasting impact in Nigeria’s creative industry.
