Kano Government Probes Ganduje Over Alleged Sale of NIMAP Abattoir

Ganduje, who also served as the immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, is already facing multiple corruption charges in the state relating to the alleged unlawful disposal of public assets.

The NIMAP facility, located in the Chalawa Industrial Area, was established under the administration of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to boost revenue generation and create employment opportunities for Kano residents.

Speaking at the inauguration of an 11-member probe committee at the Cabinet Office, Secretary to the State Government, Umar Faruq Ibrahim, said the inquiry was necessary to ensure accountability and to address questions surrounding the management of the abattoir.

The committee is expected to review the circumstances surrounding the facility’s alleged sale and submit recommendations to the state government.
