According to the organizers, only entries published or broadcast in 2024 will be considered. Winners in each category will receive the Golden Gong of Excellence, alongside certificates and cash prizes.
Entries will be judged on factual accuracy, originality, creativity, balance, human interest and professionalism, with broadcast submissions also assessed for presentation, depth, technical execution and adherence to NBC standards.
Applicants are required to submit original copies of their works with supporting documents, while members of the public can nominate broadcast stations through NBC zonal offices. The deadline for submission is September 8, 2025.
The NMMA, which has honored outstanding journalists for more than 30 years, said late or improperly submitted entries will not be accepted.
