The Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI) has pledged its full support to Nigeria’s newly appointed Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Olusola Oluyede, mni, NAM.
In a statement signed by AANI President, Ambassador Emmanuel Obi Okafor, mni, the association described the appointment as a reflection of confidence in General Oluyede’s leadership and professional capacity to steer the Armed Forces toward a more secure and stable Nigeria.
“AANI stands firmly behind General Oluyede and the entire Nigerian Armed Forces,” Ambassador Okafor affirmed. “We are confident that his tenure will bring renewed strength, strategic innovation, and strengthened civil-military relations.”
The association highlighted the significance of having one of its members attain such a prestigious national position, noting that it exemplifies the National Institute’s contribution to grooming strategic thinkers and transformative leaders.
Ambassador Okafor also lauded President Tinubu’s commitment to merit and professionalism in leadership appointments, expressing optimism that this will continue to strengthen national institutions.
He concluded with a prayer for divine wisdom and success for the new Defence Chief as he takes on the task of safeguarding Nigeria’s peace and sovereignty.
